Welcome to Encore Ushering Service

Established back in 1994, Encore Ushering Service began its existence as a small company partnered along side an existing ushering provider in the  Houston Theater District servicing the Wortham Center, Alley Theater, and Jones  Hall. Within two years Encore Ushering Service became an  independent company with a dedicated management staff as well as a  combination of ushers and volunteers. Encore took on many  events outside of the downtown area providing a unique service  to Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music at their Stude Concert  Hall, Duncan Recital Hall, and the Wortham Opera Recital Hall. In 1998 the University of Houston signed Encore Ushering Service to an exclusive contract at the Moores School of Music to provide support for their many programs. In 2012 Encore Ushering Service moved away from volunteer staffing and became a fully paid professional staffing company. 

The company has shown it’s flexibility to provide a custom and professional service at an affordable price from a dedicated staff.  It has handled intimate audiences of just 200 to events as large as 8,500. Encore  has provided services for special events such as weddings and youth  programs, to complex and highly profiled events such as galas starring opera diva Renee Fleming, composer Philip Glass to lectures from the Dalai Lama, former President of India Dr. Klaam,  and other dignitaries from around the world.
